DICTIONARY
The multimedia dictionary created by younger students at the Shuren School, outside Beijing, includes 60 slides. Each slide includes a photograph depicting the word, along with the word written in Chinese and English and then used in a sentence (again, in both Chinese and English). An audio track accompanies each slide, with Shuren students taking turns saying the words and sentences in both languages.
If you are using a dial-up connection (58 MB), it will take awhile for each slide to load. You can write us at info@whatkidscando.org and we can burn a CD of the dictionary and send it to you. At AskAsia.org, a “Word of the Week” feature shares a new word each week from the Shuren students’ dictionary.
